West End girl

"In a West End town, a dead-end world
The East End boys and West End girls."

I heard the Pet shop Boys as I was getting ready... except for I thought the lyrics were..."something or another.... western girls" So, I had previously thought that the song fairly matched my outfit for the day. After googling though, I realized it wasn't. Ah, well it was nice while the time lasted.

Marvin and Bow

Marvin and Bo are nuts that my friend and I got from a tree on campus. They were fantastically spikey but then they dried up and the chestnut popped out. :D

My tie bow I made using scrap fabric from a dress that I re-did. I saw a cute picture of a girl with a tie bow and it inspired me to do my own. My sleeveless collared shirt is kind of like a hand-me-down from a lady at church. I've got a bunch of other ones to wear except I think our heat wave is over in a few days. :'(

You can easily make a tie bow with any kind of ribbon or fabric or thin scarves. They can be really long, down to the waist of the pants or short like a bow tie. Tie them onto a collared shirt all buttoned up and you are sure to get a compliment on your creativity. :D

Hot wweeeek.

Wore this little happy dress to school. T'was simple. I need'ta do something with ma hair. I "do" my hair in the morning but the angle of the camera kind of catches the worst angle of my hair.. and it looks as if I just woke up.. ha! it's super poofy.

Well, this week is like heat wave week. So, I must enjoy not layering as much as I can till it's layering time (my favorite time of the year for getting dressed). We have days up to 90 which is super weird for the END OF SEPTEMBER.

Thrited Trinkets

Found the funnest things at the thrift store by my college.

There was a set of eight of this really fun drinking glass. I didn't need eight so I just got one... but I love this... I'VE GOT A FACE ON MY CUP!!
I also got this neat little key holder. It is kind of restricting because I can only hold 4 keys on it and I can barely clasp it with all the keys inside. It's really fancy though, and no one carries their keys in a pouch...

For no other reason.

I have quick story of the shorts. A few hours ago then my mom asked my youngest sister if she could fit in these (the ones I am wearing) would fit her because they were too small on her. She tried them on and was quit swimming in them. I told her, "Hey, lets trade shorts." I had been wearing my dark green shorts that were definitely too small and had been too small for a while. My sis pulled the drawstring and now they fit her and follow her school's strict dresscode. I put on hers and they fit perfectly and matched me. Now the thing is, my mother is a lot smaller than I; smaller feet, smaller stature, smaller body. How can these shorts be too small for her but fit me??? Whatever, I am keeping them.
